Gozem ventures into financial services with “Gozem Money”

Gozem, the West African super app known for its transportation and delivery services, is making a bold move into the fintech space with the upcoming launch of “Gozem Money.”

Developed in partnership with NSIA Bank, the mobile money service is scheduled to roll out in the fourth quarter of 2024. With this new offering, Gozem aims to provide Togolese users with access to digital financial tools—including bill payments, online shopping, and money transfers—directly through its existing mobile app.

This venture into financial services follows Gozem’s recent acquisition of Moneex, a Benin-based electronic payments startup. The deal, finalized just months before Gozem Money’s launch, has accelerated the company’s strategy to tap into West Africa’s expanding fintech market. The service will initially launch in Togo, with future plans to expand into Gozem’s other active markets, including Benin, Gabon, and Cameroon.
