Singapore Valley Awards 2025 Recognises Five Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs

Recipients of Singapore Valley Awards will intern at fast-growing companies and venture capital funds based in China.

Singapore, March 2025 – Five exceptional undergraduate students from Singapore universities were awarded the prestigious Singapore Valley Awards (SVA) 2025 in a ceremony held at Sheraton Towers Singapore. Recognizing and nurturing Singapore’s most promising young entrepreneurs, the SVA provides winners with unparalleled opportunities to gain deep insights into the Chinese market and hands-on experience in one of the world’s most dynamic startup ecosystems.

Established in 2017 by entrepreneurs with China-centric businesses and supported by Singapore-based boutique private equity firm Tembusu Partners, the SVA aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among undergraduates. Each winner receives a S$2,000 entrepreneurship prize and secures internships with leading Chinese technology companies and venture capital firms, equipping them with critical exposure to China’s rapidly evolving business landscape.

“The Singapore Valley Awards align closely with our mission at Tembusu Partners to develop founders with the entrepreneurial mindset needed to navigate complex global challenges. As a founding partner of SVA, we recognize the immense value of exposing young entrepreneurs to China’s fast-paced innovation ecosystem. This real-world experience fosters resilience, agility, and strategic thinking—essential qualities for scaling novel technology solutions that drive commercial success and meaningful impact,” said Ms Theodora Lai, Partner (Moringa Ventures), Tembusu Partners.

The winners were selected through a rigorous competition, which saw applicants from all six of Singapore’s Autonomous Universities present their business ideas in an intensive pitch session held last September. Applicants submitted comprehensive business plans and pitched their ideas before a panel of esteemed judges from technology, advisory, and venture capital firms.

Each recipient will embark on a three-month internship with one of SVA’s four partner companies in China this year — 01Bite, Classin, Day Day Up, and V-Capital. Beyond the S$2,000 prize, SVA also offers financial support for selected students, providing up to S$1,000 per month for six months (capped at S$6,000), along with return airfare coverage.
