Prakash Tharani

Tharani is a Venture Partner and Impact Lead for the Sustainable Future Fund at Tembusu Partners, based in Singapore.

Tharani is a sustainability strategist, technologist and entrepreneur. She has 20 years of global leadership experience in the sustainability and information technology domains, in APAC, UK and Europe, and across a wide range of sectors and industries including agri-food, plastics and packaging, waste management and recycling, FMCG, telecom, hospitality, education and financial services.

Tharani is a strategic advisor to corporates, start-ups and investors on sustainability opportunities, risks and solutions, strategy development and implementation, as well as ESG & impact measurement, management and reporting. Her current focus is on connecting capital to and scaling ventures in emerging high-impact high-growth sustainability technologies and industries.

Tharani is the co-founder and Chief Impact Officer at Product Dynamix, offering sustainability advisory, digital product management and venture-building services for investors, ventures and corporates. She is also a Senior Advisor at Pearl Consulting, a global social impact consultancy. She has been actively involved in growing the B Corp movement in Singapore and SEA. Tharani holds a Professional Graduate Certificate in Corporate Sustainability and Innovation from Harvard University.

Prior to following her passion for sustainability, Tharani led digital transformations for large corporates in ERP, CRM and eCommerce, engaging across the full software project lifecycle for both custom-developed and product-based solutions. She has led client-facing and development teams at ITC Infotech, a leading technology services firm in India as well as Merced Systems, a product start-up in the UK/USA (acquired by NICE Systems, Israel).

Tharani also served as an Executive Officer for the British civil services, as an IT specialist in the Department for Education, London. Clients Tharani has worked with include Facebook, Kimberley-Clark, Tele2 Sweden, O2 UK, Co-op UK, Mazda Motors, India Tobacco Company, Electrex-Hitachi, Pure Life Organic Foods, Yash Papers and Dalmia Polypro.
