Lim Hwee Hua was first elected to Parliament in December 1996 and served till May 2011, last as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore, and concurrently as Second Minister for Finance and for Transport. Prior to joining the Singapore Cabinet, Lim Hwee Hua enjoyed a varied career in financial services (Temasek Holdings 2000-2004, Jardine Fleming 1992-2000, Swiss Bank Corporation 1989-1992). Since retirement from politics, she has continued to be involved in finance (KKR 2011-2023, Asia Pacific Exchange 2017-2024) and international businesses (Nippon Paint since 2022, JERA since 2023, ReSustainability since 2019, International Valuation Standards Council since 2020, EY 2011-2013).
